In this workshop you will learn how to add sound to your project. We will look at some project as inspiration and after get our hands dirty hacking a greeting card sound module using flexible circuitry techniques. This is one of the cheapest and easiest way to make your designs talk. The participants are encouraged to bring fabrics and clothes for repurpose. Uitgebreide omschrijving inhoud workshop

The participants will hack a greeting card sound module and adapt it to a wearable piece. This technique is a simple, cheap and effective way to add sound to your projects. During the workshop the participants are asked to think how sound can be incorporate on wearable in a meaningful way.

Participants of all skill levels are welcome. Each participant should bring their own cloth or fabric to work on it during the course.

At the end of the module you will learn:

– how to make a simple circuit using conductive thread – how to make soft buttons and use sewing techniques to – create interaction.

– how to hack a ready made electronic circuit

The module is open to students of all levels. No previous knowledge is required. We will embroider, if you know how to do it great otherwise you will learn it.
